Advanced Micro Devices Inc. fell 9.7 percent to $3.62 with 79,444,500 shares traded.


American International Group fell 1.0 percent to $34.40 with 24,988,300 shares traded.


Bank of America Corp. fell .8 percent to $9.23 with 145,339,200 shares traded.


Citigroup Inc. fell .4 percent to $33.94 with 36,449,700 shares traded.


EMC Corp. rose .3 percent to $27.67 with 23,913,000 shares traded.


Ford Motor Co. rose .3 percent to $10.42 with 34,107,900 shares traded.


General Electric Co. rose .9 percent to $22.24 with 38,095,700 shares traded.


JPMorgan Chase & Co. rose .2 percent to $41.26 with 24,743,700 shares traded.


Sprint Nextel Corp. fell 1.5 percent to $5.19 with 37,373,600 shares traded.


Wells Fargo & Co. rose .3 percent to $35.44 with 25,732,000 shares traded.
