MANILA, Philippines—International communication company Dentsu Aegis Network is bullish on the Philippines, saying advertising spending in the country is likely to continue rising over the medium term as the economy sustains its robust growth.
With its positive outlook on the economy, Dentsu expects its unit in the country—Dentsu Philippines Inc.—to service even more clients from a wider range of industries.
“The Philippines shows very good sign of continued economic growth. It makes sense for us to further our specialty and offer our services to a wider range of clients in the country,” Dick Van Motman, chair and chief executive officer for Southeast Asia of Dentsu, said in a briefing.
At present, Dentsu provides advertising and communication services to the Department of Tourism (DOT) and a host of private multinational companies operating in the Philippines, including Toyota Motors and Coca-Cola.
Its latest project for the DOT was the “thank you” campaign, through online and other advertising media, that showed the Philippines expressing gratitude to foreign donors that provided financial support and relief assistance to those affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda.
