MANILA, Philippines – The leisure estate arm of Megaworld Corp. has unveiled its first residential condominium project in Southwoods City — a European-inspired, low-density and family-oriented residential condominium cluster.
Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI) announced on Wednesday the launch of the two-tower, eight-story Holland Park, initially offering 161 units consisting of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments with living space ranging between 30 and 106 square meters.
This residential cluster will be within walking distance from the upcoming Southwoods Mall as well as from the office and business process outsourcing buildings that will soon rise in the 561-hectare Southwoods City, a township surrounded by a golf course in the boundaries of Carmona, Cavite and Biñan, Laguna. Completion of Holland Park is expected in 2017.
“As the first condominium development in Southwoods City, Holland Park will offer first-of-its-kind residences featuring the famous architectural wonders of Copenhagen. These residences right at the heart of the booming Southwoods City CBD (central business district) will be perfect for families finding a refreshing abode surrounded by the lush greeneries of the township’s own golf course,” Megaworld Global-Estate Inc. vice president for sales and marketing Rachelle Peñaflorida said in a press statement.
The latest project is a follow-up to the group’s successful launch of Southwoods City and its residential village, Pahara. GERI, however, has yet to finalize the pricing scheme for the pre-selling of residential units.
“The rising demand for properties in Southwoods City prompts us to launch the first condominium project in the township, just a few months after we reached 90 percent sold out for Pahara,” Peñaflorida added.
Launched in March this year, Pahara is a 26-hectare upscale residential village within Southwoods City, sitting beside the slopes and greenscapes of the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club.
Southwoods City is a masterplanned township that is being groomed by the Megaworld group to be the next CBD south of Metro Manila. It will have its own cyberpark, malls, schools, church, open parks, leisure facilities, a weekend market, transport hub as well as residential villages and golf course.
This township is touted to be easily accessible through the South Luzon Expressway with traveling time of only 20 minutes from Makati CBD and 10 minutes from Alabang.
Southwoods City is one of the 15 townships developed by Megaworld and its subsidiaries. Other townships include Eastwood City in Quezon City (the country’s first cyberpark), Newport City in Pasay City (home of Resorts World Manila), McKinley West, McKinley Hill, Uptown Bonifacio and Forbes Town Center in Fort Bonifacio, The Mactan Newtown in Cebu, Iloilo Business Park, Woodside City in Pasig, Davao Park District, Suntrust Ecotown (under its wholly-owned subsidiary Suntrust Properties Inc.), Boracay Newcoast and Twin Lakes in Tagaytay.
