MANILA, Philippines—Spanish dietetics specialist Naturhouse is scheduled to open its first shop in the Philippines on April 6, as part of plans to expand and strengthen its presence in Asia.
In a statement, Naturhouse said it was bullish on its prospects in the Philippines with potential business seen reaching more than 2 million euros in the coming years.
Filipinos, the company explained, are ready for the type of unique health and wellness service that Naturhouse provides, given the increased awareness and desire toward living a healthy lifestyle, which is what Naturhouse claims it is all about.
“Filipinos have been very health-conscious the past few years and we took note of this in our preparations,” Naturhouse Philippines president Jon Rocha said.
“We will not only introduce a way of living healthy to the Philippine market, but also create jobs in the process,” Rocha added.
Naturhouse said it would provide buyers guides on healthy living and advice on how to lose weight and address issues like stress.
Its programs, Naturhouse said, are geared toward the promotion of healthy living among Filipinos.
Nutritionists will be on hand to help clients reach their desired weight goals as there will be no crash or hit-miss diets, noted Melody Melo, head nutritionist at Naturhouse.
“It is our mission to educate people on how to eat properly and how to retain their ideal weight,” added Rick Cabanban, the lead project manager who trained in offices in Spain and France for the operations of Naturhouse Philippines.
Naturhouse is owned by the Kiluva Group of Spain, the leading Spanish corporation in the dietetics and nutrition sector.
C.F. Sharp Trading Inc. is the master franchise holder of Naturhouse for the Philippines.
Naturhouse has 2,000 establishments around the world. Nearly 900 of these establishments are outside Spain.
In 2011 alone, over 240 shops were opened.
Aside from the Philippines, Naturhouse is also expanding in other Asian markets such as China, Malaysia and Singapore.
