SM Prime opens new retail area

Local property giant SM Prime Holdings has expanded its leasing portfolio with the opening of a new retail podium called “Sun Mall,” which is attached to Sun Residences on España corner Mayon Street.

Sun Mall spans a gross floor area of 15,000 square meters and offers a variety of commercial and retail stores that can accommodate the basic household needs of the residents, SMPH disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange.

This is the third retail podium attached to a residential development of SM Development Corp.—SMPH’s residential development arm—after Jazz Mall in Bel-Air, Makati and Mezza Strip in Quezon City.

“Sun Residences shines brighter with the opening of Sun Mall as this reflects the synergies at work in SM Prime. Through these retail podiums within our residential towers, we aim to provide our residents with access to everything that they will need,” SMPH executive vice president and SMDC president Jeffrey Lim said.

Launched in 2009, Sun Residences is a two-tower, 43-story development that offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with unit prices ranging from P1.8 million to P4.6 million.

Sun Residences is among 22 condominium brands by SMDC. The others include Chateau Elysee Residences (Bicutan, Parañaque), Mezza Residences and Mezza II Residences (Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City), Berkeley Residences (Katipunan, Quezon City), Grass Residences and Fern at Grass Residences (Quezon City beside SM North Edsa), Sea Residences (Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay); Field Residences (Sucat, Parañaque), Princeton Residences (New Manila, Quezon City), Jazz Residences (Bel-Air, Makati), Light Residences (near the Boni-Edsa MRT Station in Mandaluyong), MPlace@South Triangle (Quezon City), Blue Residences (Katipunan, Quezon City), Shine Residences (Pasig); Green Residences (Taft Avenue in Manila), Shell Residences (Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay), Grace Residences (Taguig), Breeze Residences (Pasay), Trees Residences (Novaliches, Quezon City), Shore Residences (Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay) and Wind Residences (Tagaytay).
