Tokyo stocks down 0.14 percent by noon





TOKYO–Tokyo stocks slipped 0.14 percent Friday morning with selling on recent gains partly offset by a weaker yen.


The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell 12.84 points to 9,042.36 by the break, while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.29 percent, or 2.18 points, to 749.24.
