RLC opens 167-room budget hotel in Iloilo

Gokongwei-led property developer Robinsons Land Corp. has opened a new 167-room budget hotel in Iloilo, the seventh under the fast-growing no-frills hotel portfolio under the Go Hotels brand.

The newest Go Hotel branch is the second-biggest in RLC’s Go Hotels portfolio and an integral part of the city’s first full-service mall, Robinsons Place Iloilo.

“Our newest property and, so far, the biggest among our regional properties, has 167 guest rooms and a hundred-seat function room to accommodate the growing needs of the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibition) market,” Robinsons Hotels and Resorts general manager Elizabeth Gregorio said in a statement.

The hotel is centrally located in Iloilo, a booming business hub in the Visayas.

The room rates range from P688 to P2,388 plus value added tax (VAT). Promo rates are between P388 and P588 plus VAT.

RLC has created the gohotels.ph brand in a bid to offer travelers with “necessary comforts combined with great value propositions.”

“We continue to provide our guests and patrons with smart reasons to stay in Go Hotels,” Gregorio added. “These include Windsor beds, made exclusively for Go Hotels, that use only 100-percent cotton sheets together with comfy duvets and pillows; modern bathroom fixtures and complimentary essential toiletries; free Wi-Fi access; LED cable TVs; safety deposit boxes; transport access; a fun vibe and service plus.”

The “service plus” features come in the form of add-ons such as toiletry kits, airport transfer, and/or breakfast sets. These items can be availed of separately when guests need them with corresponding fee upon booking online.

For on-the-go businessmen, there are pull-down worktables that are attached as wall contraptions, giving an instant office atmosphere.

Aside from Iloilo, RLC has Go Hotels in Puerto Princesa (Palawan), Bacolod (Negros Occidental), Tacloban (Leyte), Dumaguete (Negros Oriental), Otis-Manila and Mandaluyong (Metro Manila).
