The numbers are steadily rising and no doubt, 2012 was yet another impressive year for The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI).
2012 sustained for the exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet automobiles and parts in the Philippines a steady momentum that ushers in 2013’s many exciting upcoming developments.
Building on its recognition as a brand that is reliable in aftersales services, Chevrolet Philippines won an award again from JD Power Asia Pacific (an independent award-giving body based in Singapore) last year to further cement Chevrolet’s reputation of offering consumers the absolute best in customer services.
2012 was a period that saw rapid expansion of the Chevrolet brand here in the Philippines. There are currently 18 dealer networks nationwide, with newly opened ones in Tacloban, Nueva Ecija and Cagayan de Oro. A bigger presence in more places translates to a better capacity to serve Chevrolet consumers all over the country. But the tally doesn’t stop there as 2013 is likely to see at least three more dealerships launched to better serve and highlight all the best Chevrolet cars on offer.
2012 also saw a strong cadence of new Chevrolet vehicle introductions—the Colorado pickup truck, Sonic hatch and sedan subcompacts and the seven-seater diesel engine, mid-size SUV, Chevrolet Trailblazer. In launching some of its newest offerings, the brand was also able to break into two new industry segments. So while growth has been a keyword for Chevrolet in 2012, being able to evolve is also high on the list.
Recognizing the importance of the digital world was also a great influence on Chevrolet last year. It stepped up digital efforts in a number of ways—from launching three customer-friendly microsites (for products: Colorado, Trailblazer and Sonic) that highlight each car’s special features, to aftersales information while making use of rich media for a more interesting presentation. TCCCI also made a Facebook fanpage for the Colorado on top of enhancing TCCCI Chevrolet Philippines’ very own website. These efforts are meant to enhance access to information and improve the convenience of the motoring public.
TCCCI president and managing director Atty. Albert Arcilla had this to say about the year that was: “2012 has been a landmark year for us at TCCCI. Its astounding results prove that optimistic and complex goals can be achieved when the company is focused on offering a great product lineup and providing impeccable customer service to the market that appreciates value for money, durability with distinguished design elements. We look forward to forging ahead with more positive results in 2013.”
All of the elements above have combined to create a 20-percent growth in Chevrolet sales, up 3,328 units from 2011’s sales achievements. The volume drivers from January to June were the passenger cars, Spark and Cruze, while the Colorado’s launch in July and the Trailblazer’s introduction in October drove the numbers even higher.
TCCCI’s portfolio of new world-class vehicles, positive dealer network growth and JD Power-recognized aftersales customer service are indications that 2013 is gearing up to be another big year to watch.
