Pepsi inks beverage deal with Robinsons

By

MANILA, Philippines—Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. has bagged a deal with property developer Robinsons Land Corp. to exclusively supply beverage to the latter’s food courts and cinemas in shopping malls across the country.

RLC president Frederick Go and PCPPI president Partha Chakrabarti signed a three-year agreement, ending nearly a year of negotiations on the exclusivity deal, a joint statement said.

Go expressed optimism on RLC’s tie-up with the soft drinks giant. “We are happy to partner with an established brand like Pepsi. We believe that this complements the objectives of Robinsons malls to be an indispensable part of the Filipino lifestyle, so we look forward to a very fruitful partnership,” he said.

PCPPI’s Chakrabarti said the partnership between Pepsi and Robinsons had come “full circle.” “We are both confident that this collaboration will go a long way to our mutual benefits,” he said.

RLC currently operates 32 shopping malls nationwide. Earlier this year, the property developer opened three malls in Pangasinan, Palawan and Quezon City.
